AA wise man once said he realized he couldn't make a mistake.
He said he does
- lots of things wrong,
- lots of things he shouldn't,
- lots of things he is sorry for,
- but he said he realized he couldn't make a mistake when he found this verse:
That means that no matter how many things he does wrong, God will use it for his good.
The commentators say that "work together for good" is present tense. Meaning mistakes you made in the past, are right now being used by God for your good.
"All things" means all things.
Whatever you did in your past,
even before you were a Christian,
those things are a part of "all things".
I have talked before about our failures, I want you to know God is using your failures for your good in your life.
There are some God wants to heal now.
He wants to take that big failure in your life (the one that you think is big), and
- He wants to give you the chance to come face-to-face with it.
- To make a decision, like a real man or real woman.
- Like I think Peter did.
A brave man dies once...My dad had a saying "A brave man dies once, a coward dies a thousand times". Meaning that if you run from something, instead of facing it, you will face it a thousand times.
Let's face our failures, let's take them to the Lord & get some healing done.
You know Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit
confront that failure in your life,
make a decision about it,
you will find God not only heals you,
but makes you stronger.
Our greatest desire is...
for people to come to know God personally. The simple truth is that there is a God who created you and loves you very much. (Genesis 1:1) He gave us life and deserves our gratitude and love.
We, however, have chosen to disobey Him and sin against Him; all of us have done wrong and failed to do what is right. (Romans 3:23) We may not be more sinful than our neighbor, or we may be far worse than anyone we know, it does not matter. Either way, we are guilty before God. (1 John 1:8)
There are some people God wants to heal now.
He wants to take that big failure in your life and He wants to give you the chance to come face-to-face with it. To make a decision, like a real man or real woman. We usually don't want to face our failures; it is easier to not think of them, to run away from them.

Meaning that if you run from something, instead of facing it,
you will face it a thousand times.
